That Party Never Ends Digital Memorials
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 21, 2026
That Party Never Ends Digital Memorials (“That Party Never Ends,” “TPNE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an online service that allows people to create, manage and share Celebration Pages honouring the lives and memories of people who matter to them.
We believe personal stories and memories deserve to be treated with care. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use That Party Never Ends, we may collect information such as:
Account information, including your name, email address, login information and account preferences.
Purchase and transaction information, including the package purchased, order number, transaction status, billing country and related payment information. Payment-card information may be processed directly by our payment provider rather than stored by TPNE.
Celebration Page information, including names, dates, photographs, stories, memories, timelines, hometowns, music selections, video links and other information you choose to include.
Contributor information, including names, email addresses, invitations, submitted memories, photographs, comments and other contributions.
Communications, including messages you send to support, privacy inquiries and other correspondence with us.
Technical and usage information, which may include IP address, browser and device information, login activity, security events, cookies and information about how the service is used.
AI writing information, when you voluntarily use our “Help me write this” feature, including the answers and other information you provide for generating a suggested draft.
We try to collect only information reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the service. This reflects PIPEDA's principles of identifying purposes and limiting collection.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- create and maintain your account and Celebration Pages;
- process purchases, refunds and upgrades;
- provide Premium and Legacy features;
- invite and manage contributors;
- publish content according to the Celebration manager's choices;
- provide AI-assisted writing when requested;
- send account, purchase, contributor, moderation, security and service communications;
- provide customer support;
- prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access;
- troubleshoot and improve TPNE;
- maintain appropriate business and transaction records; and
- meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We will not use personal information for materially different purposes without appropriate notice or consent where required.
3. Celebration Pages and Public Information
A Celebration Page may contain information about the person being remembered as well as living family members, friends and contributors.
Celebration managers are responsible for considering the privacy of living people before publishing personal information about them.
Depending on the privacy settings selected by the Celebration manager, content may be visible to other invited users or to the public.
Information placed on a public Celebration Page can be viewed, copied, shared or otherwise recorded by other people. TPNE cannot control what third parties do with information after it has been made publicly available.
Please do not publish highly sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the Celebration.
4. Contributors and Shared Memories
Celebration managers may invite family members and friends to contribute memories or other permitted content.
Where moderation is available, submitted content may remain private until approved by the Celebration manager.
Celebration managers may approve, hide or remove contributions according to the features available with their package.
Removing a contributor's access does not necessarily automatically delete content that was previously submitted or published. Celebration managers may have separate controls for managing that content.
5. Photographs, Music and Video
Users may upload photographs and other permitted content and may provide links to third-party media.
For example, a Celebration may include an embedded YouTube video. Embedded content remains hosted and controlled by the third-party provider and may be subject to that provider's own terms and privacy practices.
TPNE does not guarantee the continued availability of third-party media.
6. AI-Assisted Writing
TPNE may offer optional AI-assisted writing features.
If you choose to use these features, information you provide may be securely transmitted to an artificial-intelligence service provider for the purpose of generating the requested draft.
AI-generated content is a suggestion only. It may contain errors or inappropriate wording. Nothing generated by the AI writing feature is automatically published. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and approving the content before using it.
We encourage users not to provide unnecessary sensitive personal information to the AI writing feature.
Our optional “Help me write this” feature uses OpenAI to generate suggested drafts from the information you choose to provide.
Canadian privacy guidance states that organizations remain accountable for personal information transferred to third parties for processing and should be transparent when information may be processed in another jurisdiction.
7. Payments
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers.
Those providers may collect payment-card, banking, billing, fraud-prevention and transaction information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
TPNE generally receives information necessary to identify and administer the transaction, such as payment status, amount, currency, customer information and transaction identifiers.
We do not intend to store complete payment-card numbers on TPNE servers.
8. Canadian and U.S. Customers
TPNE is a Canadian business and may serve customers in Canada and the United States.
Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States or other jurisdictions. When information is processed in another country, it may be subject to the laws and lawful-access requirements of that jurisdiction.
We remain responsible for personal information under our control and take reasonable steps to select and manage service providers appropriately.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
TPNE may use cookies and similar technologies necessary for:
- signing users in;
- maintaining account sessions;
- remembering preferences;
- maintaining shopping carts and checkout sessions;
- security and fraud prevention;
- remembering privacy or currency choices; and
- operating and improving the website.
If we later introduce non-essential advertising, analytics or tracking technologies requiring additional consent, we will update our practices and provide appropriate choices where required.
10. Email Communications
We may send emails necessary to operate TPNE, including account, password, purchase, Celebration, contributor, moderation, security and service-related communications.
Promotional or marketing communications will be handled separately and will include appropriate consent and unsubscribe mechanisms where required.
Canada's anti-spam rules generally require consent, sender identification and an unsubscribe mechanism for commercial electronic messages.
11. How We Share Information
We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate TPNE, such as providers of:
- website hosting and infrastructure;
- email delivery;
- payment processing;
- security and fraud prevention;
- backups;
- AI-assisted writing; and
- other technical services necessary to provide TPNE.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, protect rights or security, investigate abuse or enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information we handle.
No website, network or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords and account credentials and should notify us promptly if they believe their account has been compromised.
PIPEDA requires safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information involved rather than prescribing a single technical standard.
13. Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to operate the service, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate transaction and security records, and meet legal obligations.
When an account or Celebration is deleted, some information may remain for a limited period in backups, security records, transaction records or where retention is required or permitted by law.
Information that no longer serves an identified purpose will be deleted, anonymized or otherwise appropriately disposed of according to our retention practices. This approach reflects PIPEDA's limitation on retention.
14. Access and Correction
You may request access to personal information TPNE holds about you and may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information, subject to applicable legal limitations.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a privacy request.
Canadian privacy guidance recognizes individuals' rights to access personal information held about them and challenge its accuracy and completeness.
15. Your Choices
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be able to:
- update account information;
- change Celebration privacy settings;
- manage or remove content;
- withdraw optional consent;
- unsubscribe from marketing communications;
- request access to or correction of personal information; and
- request account or Celebration deletion.
Some information may need to be retained despite a deletion request for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction or legitimate business-record purposes.
16. Age Requirement
Accounts and purchases through TPNE are intended for people 18 years of age or older.
People under 18 should not create an account or make a purchase without appropriate involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as TPNE evolves or when legal, technical or service-provider requirements change.
If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain additional consent where required.
